Musically, Hello Psychaleppo and Yousef Kekhia stand as far apart as bass and folk genres do. Geographically, they both hail from beloved Aleppo. Both aware of music’s directional power when one is spatially displaced, they collide on “Bshi Yom” (“One Day”).

Emotions run high for this the second installment of our ‘Monologue reworks’. Psychaleppo preserves the song’s sincerity, without shying away from bass-driven rumbles that bubble below the surface. Above-ground, haunting lyrics strike a chord, no matter what language the listener understands
